Glenda Gail Murray

Miss Glenda Gail Murray, age 65 of 158 Ellen Court, Apartment 102, Toccoa passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at her residence.

A daughter of the late John Henry and Hazel Hunter Murray, she was born April 1, 1950 in Stephens County, Georgia where she lived all her life.  She was employed with Coats and Clark for a number of years and later retired from Wal-Mart.  She was a member of Old Toccoa Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by two brothers, Louie and Bill Murray and by two sisters, Nina Hosea and Ann Patterson.

Survivors include two brothers and sister-in-law, Otha and Martha Murray and Roger Murray both of Toccoa; sister and brother-in-law, Johnnie and John T. Davis of Toccoa; number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Thursday, August 13, 2 O’clock PM in the Hillcrest Chapel of Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Reverend Frank Bearden and the Reverend Garvis Kinsey officiating.  The following nephews will serve as pallbearers, Joshua Murray, Caleb Murray, James Murray, Dalton Murray, John Patterson, Bill Murray, Von Ivester and Vance Ledbetter.

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6 PM until 8 PM and Thursday from noon until the service time. 

Interment will follow in the Zebulon Baptist Church Cemetery with The Reverend Bill Evans officiating.
