Lyle Edward Parish, age 77, of Lawrenceville, GA passed away on Monday, August 10, 2015. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Carrie Ann Parish, and grandson, Joshua Lynn Dyer. He is survived by his wife of thirty-six years, Gail Parish; children, Tammy Lynn and George Dyer, Athens, IL, and Michael Alan and Amy Parish, Bethlehem, GA; three grandchildren, Jacob Dyer, Nick Parish, and Alex Lorren; two great grandchildren, Kyler Dyer, and Addie Nicole Parish; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mr. Parish was born December 23, 1937 in Galesburg, IL. He was a 1955 graduate of Galesburg High School and attended Knox College. He was a veteran of the National Guard. He was retired from C.N.M. Railroad and he retired from Certified Fire Protection in 2003. He was a member of IBEW Local 34, Peoria, IL. He was an avid car restorer, collector, and enthusiast. He loved Nascar and was a Dale Earnhardt fan. He was a wonderful husband, father, and Paw Paw. Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 4:00 p.m., in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home, with Dr. Jim Ferguson officiating.
