Charles Franklin Saxon Jr., age 54 of Suwanee, GA passed away Monday, August 10, 2015 following extended illness at Emory University Hospital.
Mr. Saxon was born October 20, 1960 in Gainesville, GA to the late Charles Franklin Saxon Sr. and Janie Doris Kenimer Saxon. Charles worked for Touax under Thomas Sullivan whom he loved dearly. He graduated from the University of Georgia having been a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. Charles was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Becky and Andy Reese, uncle Phillip Hester, niece Karen Zimmer.
Survivors include his children, Sydney Saxon and Andrew Saxon, both of Cumming; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Jim Bishop, Cumming; devoted girlfriend and companion, Diana Myers, Suwanee; nephews, Jimmy Bishop, Kip Bishop, Ryan Bishop, Michael Reese, Jamison Reece; niece Jennifer Flanagan; great nephew, Forest Bishop; beloved dog, Trey. As well, Charles leaves behind many lifelong friends.
A day did not pass that Charles did not ask about his children. When asked what Charles needed he would always reply,” take care of my kids”.
Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, August 22, 2015 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Cleveland Historic Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12-2 PM Saturday, August 22, 2015 prior to the memorial service.
