Joseph Preston Tribble

Joseph Preston Tribble, age 86, of Lula, Georgia, passed away on Monday, August 10, 2015.

Mr. Tribble was born on March 12, 1929 in Hall County, Georgia to the late Andy R. and Beulah Echols Tribble. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his son, Timothy T. Tribble; daughter, Lora Lynn Thompson; great granddaughter, Anna Grace Jones.

Survivors include his loving wife of 68 years, Velva Forrester Tribble, of Lula; daughters and sons-in-law, Rita Smith Walker and David Walker, of Alto; LaBrada and Phillip Barrett, of Clarkesville; son, Marty R. Tribble, of Alto; sister, Ruth Forrester, of Waleska; sisters and brothers-in-law, Yvonne and Bud Wiley, of Alto; June and Jerry Boozer, of Lula; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and 4 step-grandchildren.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel with Rev. Jacob Armour and Rev. Larry Forrester officiating. Interment will follow in Enon Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 11, 2015.
