Hazel Prosser

Mrs. Hazel Prosser, age 96 of Gainesville, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at her residence following an extended illness.

            The Visitation will be held on Friday, August 14, 2015 from 2 - 4 pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home.  During that time, a brief Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for 3:00 pm on Friday, August 14, 2015.  Reverend Bruce Fields will officiate.  Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

            Mrs. Prosser was born February 24, 1919 in Villa Rica, Georgia to the late Walter Hamrick and Irene Bennett Hamrick.  She retired from First Financial and was a member of First Baptist Church.  Hazel was a member of Gleaners Sunday School Class, Red Hat Society and Sassy Seniors Social Club.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ralph Prosser. 

            Mrs. Prosser is survived by her son, David Prosser of Gainesville, her daughter, June Prosser of Portland, Oregon, brother, Joe Hamrick of Austell, Georgia, sister-in-law, Helen Otey, formerly of Gainesville and many nieces and nephews.
