Mrs. Naomi Harriett Irvin Kemp, age 85, of Gainesville passed away Saturday, August 01, 2015, following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend David Matthews will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 3, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Kemp was born January 21, 1930 and was a lifelong resident in Hall County. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Ella Skelton Irvin also of Hall County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Lee Kemp; brothers: Barney Irvin, Eugene Irvin, Claude Irvin, Edwin Irvin and Emory Irvin; sisters: Emma Wade and Viola Humphrys. Mrs. Kemp was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church and was retired from Chicopee Mfg. Company (Johnson & Johnson).
Survivors include sons and daughter in laws; Wayne and Linda Kemp of Oakwood, Phillip and Cathy Kemp of Gainesville; granddaughter: Stacie Savage of Gainesville; granddaughter and grandson in law: Shannon and John Leonard of Braselton; grandson: Cody Kemp of Gainesville; 4 great grandchildren: Stacy Loggins, John Cronia, Will Cronia, Kendyll Leonard and a number of nieces and nephews.
