Dr. Sam Ernest Adams (Mississippi State School of Veterinary Medicine ’99) of Cumming, GA departed this life to be with our Lord and Savior on July 30, 2015 at the age of 56. He stood steadfast in his faith in Jesus Christ and lived his life as a godly man. He is survived by his parents, James and Irene Adams; his loving wife of 35 years, Debbie; his sons, Sam, Jr. (Jenna), Chantz (Stephanie) and Zach (Morgan); his grandchildren, Chantz, Jr., Lane, Kinsey Grace and Dusty; his brothers, Randy (Margo), Steve (Jody) and Bud (Annette); and nieces and nephews.
Dr. Adams was a devoted family man and adored his 4 grandchildren.
During his life, Dr. Adams served his community in many ways; he served as an active member and Deacon at Mountain View Church of Christ. His love for singing and spreading the gospel through song was dear to his heart. He enjoyed traveling, especially to sing with fellow Christians in different locations around the country. He was one of the founders of Mountain Voices, an annual singing event held in North Georgia.
Dr. Adams, a veterinarian, owned Creekside Animal Hospital in Cumming, GA and was held dear by his clients and their pets. Dr. Adams left a lasting impression on everyone he came in contact with. He was a faithful steward to clients, animals and – most important – to those whom he loved. Prior to opening Creekside Animal Hospital, Dr. Adams worked at Orr Animal Hospital.
Dr. Adams was a loyal Mississippi State fan who always supported the Bulldogs.
Dr. Adams will be sorely missed by family, friends and clients. Family will receive friends from 2-4 pm on Saturday, August 1, 2015, to be followed by a Memorial Service at McDonald and Son Funeral Home.
