Richard Hugh Williams, Jr

Mr. Richard Hugh Williams, Jr., age 89, of Flowery Branch passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at his residence with family.

Funeral Services will be 12:00 p.m., Saturday, August 1, 2015 in the chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with interment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery. Rev. Sam Parson will officiate. The family will receive friends 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mr. Williams was born December 15, 1925 to the late Richard Hugh Williams, Sr. and Allie Wev Williams in Bartow, Florida. He was a member of Blackshear Place Baptist Church. He was retired from Occidental Inc. where he was a systems consultant.  Mr. Williams was also preceded in death by his brother, Mack Williams and sister, Alice Mae Williams.

Mr. Williams is survived by his wife of 65 years, Myrtle Williams of Flowery Branch; son & daughter-in-law, Richard & Shawn Williams of Homer, daughters & sons-in-law, Sandy & Richard Hammer of Flowery Branch, and Kathy & Reggie Smith of Braselton, grandchildren, Steve Smith of Athens, Stephanie Savage of Winder and Ashley Hammer of Flowery Branch; great-grandchildren, Jake Savage and Alex Savage; several nieces & nephews.
