Barber Ray “Bob” Forrest, age 79 of Buford, GA and formerly of Greensboro, NC died Tuesday, July 28, 2015 after an extended battle with cancer. A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Shadowbrook Baptist Church in Suwanee. Pastor Bobby Linkous and Pastor Rick Patchin will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 2:00 PM at the church. Bob was preceded in death by his son Michael Forrest and parents, Euyles and Mathie Forrest. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Forrest, Buford. Children, Byron Forrest, High Point, NC, Joseph Ward, Hampton, GA, Kathy Cameron and husband, Jack Powell, Lindy Barnes and husband Ricky, Rana Bailey. Grandchildren, Casey Forrest, Cam Cameron and wife Monica, Misty Ochiltree and husband, Shawn, Cale Ward, Chaz Ward, Brittany Brown and husband Rocky, Aryana Ward, Joshua Barnes and wife Heather, Brett Barnes and wife Ainsley, Taylor Bailey and Fiancé Taylor Nichols, Hannah Bailey. 12 Great Grandchildren. Bob Attended Summer High School in Greensboro, NC and Gainesville College in Gainesville, GA. He retired from Aramark with 44 years in food services. He was a veteran of the US Army and served with the Georgia Disaster Relief Team. He loved playing golf and cooking, especially his delicious coconut cakes. He attended Shadowbrook Baptist Church where he was a member of the Men’s Sunday School Class, Senior Bible Study and had served as deacon. He was past president of the Hall County Exchange Club.
