Linda Fain Evans Stewart

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mrs. Linda Stewart ( Fain) Mrs. Stewart died of natural causes on July 27, 2015 in Woodstock, GA.  She was 74.

Mrs. Stewart was born June 27, 1941 in Cleveland, GA to her parents, Thomas and Louvine Fain.  She graduated from O’Keefe high school in Atlanta in 1959.  She worked in Atlanta for the Oxford Chemical Company as an office secretary, and later as an administrative assistant at The Children’s Center in Atlanta.

Mrs. Stewart is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Becky and Mike Goforth of Woodstock, GA; her son and daughter-in-law Ed and Wendy Evans of Seneca, SC; her sisters Opal Beavers of Doraville, GA and Helen Anderson of Cleveland, GA; her brothers Thomas Fain, Jr. of Clarkesville, GA, Herbert Fain of Cleveland, GA, and Watson Fain of Duluth, GA; and her four grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her first husband, Clifford Ernest Evans, her second husband William Stewart, her sister Pearl Alexander and her brother William Fain.

Funeral services are scheduled  for 11:00 am, Monday, August 3, 2015 in the funeral home chapel, interment will follow in Gateway Memory Park   All are welcome to attend and celebrate Mrs. Stewart’s life.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 4278 Chamblee Tucker Rd., Doraville, GA 30340-4502.
