Betty Earlene Scofield

Betty Earlene Scofield, age 86, of Dahlonega, GA passed away Thursday, July 24, 2015 at Friendship Health and Rehab in Cleveland, GA.

Betty was born June 21, 1929 in Miami, Florida. She was a nursing assistant for a number of years.

Betty was the daughter of the late David Abdullah Bey and Rosetta Lowe Bey and was also preceded in death by sisters, Hazel Garrison and Nijimi Snelgrove; brothers, Franklin Bey and David Bey.

She is survived by her husband, Harvey Scofield; sons and daughters-in-law, Macolm and Gerlaldine Snelgrove, Douglasville, GA, Henry and Sandra Snelgrove, Troy and Gayle Emanuel, all of Dahlonega, GA; daughters, Charlotte Bowlan, Keystone Heights, FL and Debbie Zuraff, Denton, TX. 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and numerous other relatives also survive.

A memorial gathering to celebrate Betty’s life will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2015 at 2 PM at the home of Henry and Sandra Snelgrove, 50 Forest Lane, Dahlonega, GA 30533.
