Rachel Jean Miller

   Mrs. Rachel Jean Miller, age 74 of Gainesville, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

            Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Timberridge Baptist Church with interment to follow in Timberridge Baptist Church Cemetery.  Reverend Danny Miller, Reverend Alvin Burns, Reverend Wesley Purcell and Reverend M. A. Poole.  The family will receive friends on Friday, July 24, 2015 from 2 - 4 pm and 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home. 

            Mrs. Miller was born March 27, 1941 in Flowery Branch, Georgia to the late Radford Phillips and Idell Pierce Phillips.  She retired from Phillips & Brooks and was a member of Timberridge Baptist Church.  Rachel was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, her sister and three half-sisters.

            Mrs. Miller is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Harvey Miller of Gainesville, her son & daughter-in-law, Ricky & Sonya Tanner of Demorest, grandson & wife, Craig & Christan Tanner of Demorest, granddaughter, Lenay Tanner of Demorest, great-grandchildren, Mason & Riley Tanner of Demorest, 2 half-brothers and 1 half-sister.
