B. D. Savage

Mr. B. D. Savage, age 89 of Gainesville, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at his residence following an extended illness.

            Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.  Reverend Junior Jones will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Friday, July 24, 2015 from 6 - 9 pm at the funeral home.

            Mr. Savage was born January 25, 1926 in Lula, Georgia to the late James Homer Savage and Frankie Anglin Savage.  He was retired from Country Pride and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.  B.D. was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Michael Wayne Savage.

            Mr. Savage is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Ruby Savage of Gainesville, his children, Linda & Milton Hewell, Dale & Brenda Savage and Patricia Savage and, all of Gainesville, 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and his sisters, Cozetta Myers of Gainesville and Eula Mae Strayhorne of Baldwin.
