Joseph Howard Wallace

                Joseph Howard Wallace, 87, of Gainesville passed away on Monday, July 20, 2015 at Willow Wood Nursing Home following an extended illness.

                Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Wayne Hicks will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

                Mr. Wallace was born on January 30, 1928 in Gainesville to the late Joseph E. and Anna Grindle Wallace. He served in the United States Army and was retired from Ed Martin Hatchery. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Mr. Wallace was a long and faithful member of Grace Baptist Church. For the past few years he was a member of Flowery Branch First Baptist. Howard loved working with wood and doing for his friends.

                Mr. Wallace is survived by his wife, Jean Head Wallace of Gainesville; daughter, Jackie Pirkle of Clermont; daughters and sons-in-law, Jeannie and Bill LaPointe of Gainesville, Terry and Bryan Bordelon of Cleveland, Shelia and Eddie M^cFalls of Clermont; daughters, Robin Diaz of Gainesville and Kim Allison of Flowery Branch; grandchildren, Billy Pirkle III, Josh (Cassandra) Davidson, Judd West, Christi (Clete) Collins, Nicole Martin, Tabetha Martin, Jeremy (Danyell) Blalock, Chris (Whitney) M^cFalls, Colby M^cFalls and Sydney Allison; 21 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; brother, Harry Wallace of Flowery Branch and several nieces and nephews.
