Janyce A. Blankenship

Mrs. Janyce A. Blankenship, age 76, of Flowery Branch passed away Sunday, July 19, 2015, at Willowwood Nursing Center.

Memorial Mass will be 2:30 p.m., Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church.  Father Eric Hill will officiate.  Inurnment will be 11:30 a.m., Friday, July 24, 2015 at The Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia. 

Mrs. Blankenship was born October 31, 1938 to the late Floyd and Oneda Chaney in Sweeden, Kentucky.  She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church.

Mrs. Blankenship was preceded in death by her husband, Charles V. Blankenship, Jr.  She is survived by her sons, Ken Blankenship of Flowery Branch, Chuck Blankenship of Seffner, Florida, Howell Blankenship of Trinity, Florida and Keith Blankenship of Jacksonville, Florida; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Luke Chaney; and sister, Joy Thompson.

Janyce was married to Charles for 55 years and as a U.S. Air Force family, served our Country in Spain and Italy for 10 years and traveled extensively.  Total service to our Country was 42 years and she was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend.
