Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Rev. George Lee
Wooten, age 69 of Helen. Mr. Wooten passed away Monday, July 20, 2015.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00pm, Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Trinity Full
Gospel Fellowship Church with Rev. Dennis Taylor and Rev. Kenneth Taylor
officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Rev. Bill Trotter
officating. George was born in Habersham County on September 1, 1945 to the
late Grover Lee Wooten and Pauline Wooten. He served with honor in the
United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict and as an ordained minister
served in various churches. In addition to his parents, George is preceded in
death by his step son, David Reese, grandson, Davey Reese and sister Bobbie
Barton
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Lois Abernathy Wooten, Helen; sons,
Mike Reese, (Janet) of Cleveland, Danny Reese of Cleveland, Kenny Reese of
Cleveland, Steve Reese ( Debra) also of Cleveland; daughter, Susie Garrett,
Cleveland; grandchildren, Gina Wiley, Billy Reese, Misty Roberts, Wanda Reese
and Frankie Reese; sister, Patsy Hoffman, Jefferson. George is also survived by
his 13 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6 to 9 pm
