Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mr. Wilfred ‘Wolf” Raymond Rarick, age 89 of Cleveland. Mr. Rarick passed away Thursday, July 16, 2015. ‘Wolf” as he was affectionately known was born on May 12, 1926 in Chesire, MA to the late Robert Rarick and Regina Trotter Rarick. He entered the United States Navy in 1943 as a Seaman Apprentice, this journey would last until his retirement in 1964. Wolf and his wife Lois lived in New York state until the 80’s when they moved to White County. He was known and by those around him as a kind and gentle man who loved his family and his God and always had a smile and some quip or joke for those he met along the way. He was a faithful member of American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and LaSociete’Des 40 Hommes et8 Chevauk.
Survivors include his wife, Lois McFarland Rarick of Cleveland; sons Raymond Rarick of Saugus, CA and Robert Kroll Jr of East Greenbush, NY; daughters, Regina Rarick of Hannibal, MO, Linda Bronk of Troy, NY and Sue London of Charlotte. Wolf is also survived by his 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no public services will be held. Interment will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery. It requested that flowers be omitted and memorial donations be made to the American Legion,Post 16, Cleveland, Georgia 30528
