Rev. Ryan Hulme Seawright Jr.

Reverend Ryan Hulme Seawright Jr. age 90 of 1575 Sunshine Church Road, Toccoa passed away Thursday July 16, 2015 at his residence.

A son of the late Ryan Seawright Sr. and Sarah Hulme Seawright, born on July 3, 1925 in Florida, reared in Hart County and retired in Franklin County. He was a graduate of Berry College and received a Divinity degree from Emory University. He ministered United Methodist Churches in the North Georgia Conference including  Sunshine United Methodist Church, Confidence United Methodist Church, First United Methodist Church in Washington, Georgia, First United Methodist Church in Forsyth, Georgia, Young Harris United Methodist Church, Prospect United Methodist Church, and Providence United Methodist Church. He is a member of the Toccoa Lions Club. He is preceded in death by a son John Ryan Seawright and daughter-in-law Cynthia Seawright.

He is survived by his wife Polly Taylor Seawright of the home, a son and daughter-in-law Sam and Tara Seawright of New York City, New York and number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday July 20 at 2 P.M. at Sunshine United Methodist Church with The Reverend Charles Wilson, The Reverend Jack Nelson, The Reverend Harold Lawrence and The Reverend Bill Hyndman officiating with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will be at the home and will receive friends at Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Sunday from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers Chris Hallford and Justin Markman.
