Claudia “Shorty” Wade Talley

Claudia “Shorty” Wade Talley, 62, of Murphy, NC, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at Northside Hospital-Forsyth.

She was born in Atlanta, GA on June 19, 1953, and was the daughter of Claude Dewert Wade, Sr. and Monta Ree “MontaRee” Puckett Wade.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert “Butch” Lawrence Talley; a brother, Danny Wade; and one sister, Monta Dianne Collins.

Shorty is survived by two brothers, Dewert Wade Jr. (Barbara) of Powder Springs, GA, James Wade “JG” of Jacksonville, NC; one sister, Vicki Wade Beaver (Paul) of Murphy, NC; and one sister-in-law, Cindy Wade of Cumming, GA.  She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

She loved doing anything that she could do with her hands including cross-stitching and crocheting.  She enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and her Facebook family.

The family will receive friends at Beck Funeral Home from 6 PM to 8 PM on Friday, July 17, 2015. Friends will also be received from 10 AM to 11 AM on Saturday July 18, 2015 at Long Street Baptist Church in Cumming, GA.  Funeral Services will follow at 11 AM at Long Street Baptist Church with Pastor Bobby Padgett officiating.  Burial will be in the Long Street Baptist Church Cemetery after the services.
