Margaret Louise Kimsey Dawkins

Funeral services for Margaret Louise Kimsey Dawkins, age 95, of Clarkesville will be held on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 2:00 PM from Hillside Memorial Chapel with Rev. Tommy Stowe and Rev. Furman Lewis officiating.  Interment will follow the service at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the service.

Mrs. Dawkins passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at Habersham Medical Center.

Born in Clarkesville, Georgia on June 29, 1920, Mrs. Dawkins was the daughter of the late Henry Spurgeon Kimsey and Margaret Berrong Kimsey.  Mrs. Dawkins was a homemaker, having been married for 55 years to the late Buddy Dawkins and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church for over 60 years. 

In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Dawkins is preceded in death by a son John Dawkins; sister Mable Izell; brothers Rev. R. H. Kimsey, Tom Kimsey, Bill Kimsey, and Joe Kimsey.

Survivors include son and daughter in law Jerry and Imogene Dawkins of Gainesville, son Robert “Bobby” Dawkins of Clarkesville; grandchildren Tiffany Erickson, Austin Dawkins, Casey Dawkins, and Kyle Dawkins.
