William Gary Escoe

Mr. William Gary Escoe, 71 of Commerce formerly of Oakwood died Sunday July 12, 2015 at his residence.

Born in Athens, Ga. , Mr. Escoe was the son of the late Jesse Jack and Mary Belle Embry Escoe.  Mr. Escoe had lived in Hall County for a number of years before moving to Banks County in 2005.  He was retired from the Insurance and Automobile industry where he had worked as a manager and sales manager.  He served in the United States Navy and was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church in Madison County.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, DeAnn and John Money, Commerce; grandchildren, Lane and Lex Money, Commerce; brothers, Freddie Escoe, Athens; Jimmy Escoe, Watkinsville, a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Mr. Escoe is preceded in death by his parents and a son, William Gary Escoe, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday July 15, 2015 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home.  Rev. Ed Seay and Pastor Richard Davis will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday July 14, 2015 from 6-8 p.m.
