Clabus “Clabie” Lloyd Jr

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mr. Clabus “Clabie” Lloyd Jr of Cleveland formerly of Gainesville. Mr. Lloyd passed away Monday, June 29, 2015. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:30pm, Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at Georgia National Cemetery with Rev. Phil Williams officiating.

Clabie was born Gainesville,Georgia on April 9, 1928 to the late Clabus Lloyd Sr. and June Candler Lloyd. He served with honor in the United States Navy and was the founder of Lloyd’s Moving and Storage in Gainesville for several years. He moved to White County in 2005 where he enjoyed his retirement and could often be found refinishing furniture, woodworking or just enjoying nature

He is survived by his wife, Celia Lloyd of Cleveland, son, Michael Lloyd of Gainesville , daughters, Kathy Rejecke, Sandy Springs, June Swift, Alpharetta, Laura George (Bret) of Woodstock, Angela Smith of Dunwoody and Billie Jo Ford of Kansas City, MO. Clabie is also survived by his 22 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

The family request that memorial donations be made to the local chapter of the ASPCA.
