Gladys Geneva Austin

Gladys Geneva Austin, 78, of Gainesville passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2015.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Alta Vista Cemetery. Reverend Mark Smith will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 13, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. and from 6-9 p.m.

Mrs. Austin was born on September 21, 1936 in Canton, N.C. to the late James and Myrtle Lou Freeman Tench. She worked at Liberty Mutual and was a member of Abundant Life.

Mrs. Austin is survived by husband, Leon Austin of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Joann Teal of Habersham; daughters and sons-in-law, Sabrina and Dan Bishop of Flowery Branch, Lequita and Mark Smith of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Ty and Elizabeth Austin of Buford; brother, Lee Tench of Atlanta; sisters, Ellean Coley of Gainesville and Sue Peck Music of Gainesville; 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
