Alice Virginia Bond

Mrs. Alice Virginia Bond, age 81 of Commerce died Sunday, July 12, 2015 at her residence.  Mrs. Bond was born in Commerce to the late, Dock and Inda Mae McElreath Ledford.  Mrs. Bond was retired from Westclox and was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bond was also preceded in death by her brothers, Herman, Curtis, Bill, and George Ledford, and sister, Linda Ledford.

Mrs. Bond is survived by her husband, Leonard Bond of Commerce; daughters, Willovena Hanley of Ila and Kathy Bailey of Hull; son, Danny Bond of Commerce; seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; brothers, David Ledford of Carnesville, Aubrey, Frank, and Bobby Ledford all of Commerce; sisters, Bertha Williams of Flowery Branch, Paulette Delozier of Buford, Dot Wilbanks of Commerce, Mildred Thomas of Commerce, and Ruth Bachman of Yatesville.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 14 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Henderson officiating with the interment following at Jackson Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday night from 6-8 PM.
