?Mrs. Cordell Laws Pinson, 93 of Gainesville died Saturday July 11, 2015 at her residence.
A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mrs. Pinson was the daughter of the late Marvin and Willie Green Laws. She was a graduate of Riverbend High School where she played basketball. Mrs. Pinson was retired from New Holland Mill where she had worked for over 40 years. She was the oldest active member of Hopewell United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Freddie Pinson, Clinton, South Carolina; daughter, Donna Ellis, Murrayville; grandchildren, Brian and Kathy Pinson, Clinton, South Carolina; Alan Pinson, Greenville, South Carolina; Rhonda and Troy Cantrell; Angie and Scott Brock, Mark and Allison Ellis, all of Murrayville; great grandchildren, Emma Pinson, Stephanie Cantrell, Derek and Emily Cantrell, Ashley Brock, Logan Brock, Amber Brock, Sierra Brock and Colby Ellis.
Mrs. Pinson is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Clyde Henry Pinson, two sisters, Margie Morrison and Frances Elrod, and son-in-law, Harold Ellis.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday July 14, 2015 at the Hopewell United Methodist Church. Rev. Tony Kemp and Rev. Charlie Green will officiate. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Little & Davenport Funeral Home Monday July 13, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to Hopewell United Methodist Church, 4723 Hopewell Church Road, Gainesville, Ga. 30506 in memory of Mrs. Pinson.
