Bertie Mae Cheek Fitzgerald

Mrs. Bertie Mae Cheek Fitzgerald age 85 of Comer formerly of Pendergrass, Ga, passed away on Sunday July 5, 2015 at her residence following an extended illness.

Mrs. Fitzgerald was born on August 05, 1929 in Banks County, Georgia to the late James Harrison and Inez Ward Cheek. She was a retired homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harrison Grover Fitzgerald, daughter, Loretta Rhodes, son, Jerry Fitzgerald, son, Michael Fitzgerald, son-in-law, Harold Pennington, son-in-law, Bobby Sewell, grand-son, Brian Holbrook, and grand-daughter, Jenna Fitzgerald.

She is survived by her daughters, Mary Pennington of Pendergrass, Ga, Brenda (Tony) Loggins of Conyers, Deborah (David) Yonce of Athens, Darlene  (Dennis) Mealor of Bishop, Ga, sons, Ben Fitzgerald of Crawford, Ga, David (Betsy) Fitzgerald of Tucker, Kenneth Fitzgerald of Gainesville, Johnny (Judy) Fitzgerald of Gainesville, Donnie Fitzgerald of Athens, several Grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
