Belinda Ophelia Brown Barksdale

Belinda Ophelia Brown Barksdale was born on June 1,1950 in Detroit, Michigan.  She later moved to Decatur, GA where she lived until her passing on June 25, 2015.  She is survived by her daughter, Raysena Hall and grandchildren, Zylmia and ZymiaHall.  She also leaves to cherish her memory, her sister Frieda Brown, her loving companion and soulmate, Barbara Danzy and best friend James Waller.  Along with aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends her life is celebrated.

Belinda enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She always had a smile on her face.  She was filled with lots of joy and happiness.  She loved to cook and enjoyed Sunday dinners at her daughter’s house.  Belinda will be missed for her sweet and kind personality and for being there for anyone who ever needed anything.  She will not be forgotten.  We love you and will miss you terribly! Our Momma, our Momi, our auntie, our sister and our friend.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, July 5, 2015 at Wimberly & Jackson Funeral Home at 2pm. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 4,2015 at Wimberly & Jackson Funeral Home from 10am - 5pm. Professional Services Entrusted to Wimberly & Jackson Funeral Home.
