Beverly June Youngberg, 83, of Oakwood, Georgia passed away suddenly Wednesday, July 1, 2015 in her home.
She was the widow of Everett Youngberg whom she married July 2, 1947. He died March 9, 1980.
Born in Jamestown, New York on July 11, 1931, Beverly moved to Oakwood, GA in 1992.
She was the daughter of the late Frederick and Margaret Hern, sister to Richard Hern, the late Patricia Gray and 6 step brothers and sisters.
Beverly was the beloved mother of Cheryl (Cleo) Fuller of Flowery Branch and the late Gary (Linda) Youngberg of Vero Beach, Florida.
She is also survived by 7 grandchildren. Shelli Dodd of Gainesville, GA, Stacy (Ron) Sager of Red Lodge, MT., Shawn (Jenna) Fuller of Jacksonville, FL., Kevin (Kelly) Youngberg of Colorado Springs, CO., Scott Fuller of Flowery Branch, GA, Jeffrey (Jessica) Youngberg of Westminster, CO. and Eric (Theresa) Youngberg of San Diego, California. Nicknamed “Kuku,” she was also adored by her 8 great grandchildren and her precious poodle, Midnight.
Beverly was a devout Christian and dedicated member of Christ Lutheran Church in Oakwood, GA. She sang in the church choir for more than 2 decades and was involved with many church ministries including H-A-N-D-S (Hooks and Needles Doing Service,) Good News at Noon and WELCA.
She loved spending time with family and church friends; was a whiz at puzzles, cross-stitch, plastic canvas and cards. A huge Atlanta Braves fan, she rarely missed a game. She will forever be remembered for her beautiful crochet or knitted Afghans and sweater sets.
Memorial Service will be Sunday, July 5 at 5pm at Christ Lutheran Church in Oakwood, GA. Memorials, in her honor, may be made to Christ Lutheran Church.
