Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, announces services for Betty Sue Vaughan Angel, 61, of Carnesville who passed away on Friday, June 26, at the NE GA Medical Center in Gainesville. Born in Gwinnett County, she was the daughter of the late Gene and Emma Bruce Vaughan and was also preceded in death by a son, Randy Jason Angel, a granddaughter, Paige Noel Kay Moore and siblings, Leon Vaughan, Stanley Vaughan and Diane Barnes. Betty was married to Charles Randall Angel of the home and was also survived by a son, Charles W. Angel of Carnesville, daughters, Jennifer Emma Angel and Lori Michelle Duffy, both of Carnesville and Pamela Sue Angel of Oakwood, brothers, Tony Vaughan, Stony Vaughan and Tommy Vaughan and ten grandchildren.
Funeral services for Betty Angel are scheduled for Wednesday at 2 PM from the Peoples Baptist Church in Flowery Branch with Rev. Morris Shadburn officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM and the body will lie in state at the church on Wednesday from 1 PM until the time of service.
