Annie Lee Peek Baker

            Annie Lee Peek Baker, age 83 of Gainesville, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2015 at Waterford Assisted Living following an extended illness.

            Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. Milton Harris and Rev. Allen Rogers officiating. Interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 from 6:00-9:00pm at the funeral home.

            Mrs. Baker was born February 4, 1932 in Cedartown, Georgia to the late James and Mentoria Stroup Peek. She was a homemaker and was a member of New Bridge Baptist Church. Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John P. Baker, Jr. and her brother, Everett Peek.

            Mrs. Baker is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Donna Baker Rogers and Rev. Allen Rogers of Suwanee; daughter, Lynn Baker Hooper of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Mary Baker of Jonesboro; granddaughter & wife, Lisa Satterfield and Lisa Johnson; granddaughter and husband, Rachel Rogers Wilson and Randy Wilson; granddaughter, Caitlin Baker and grandson, Erik Baker.

            Flowers are accepted or contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
