Thomas Michael Smeed

Thomas Michael Smeed age 69 of Dahlonega passed away on Thursday June 25, 2015.  Thomas was born and raised in Florida where he spent his life raising his 4 children.  He later moved to metro Atlanta and then retired to the North Georgia Mountains in 2010.  Thomas was a navy Veteran and a Free Mason member of the Carry B. Fish Lodge in Sarasota in Florida.  He will be greatly missed.

Mr. Smeed is preceded by his parents Jasper and Wanda (Lewis) Smeed.

Mr. Smeed is survived by his wife Gail Smeed of Dahlonega; children Terri (Adam) Cira of Winder, GA, Kelly (Ken) Tingle of Kentucky, Sherri Smeed of Gainesville, GA, Eric (Marlene) Smeed of Cumming, GA; sister, Judy (Lee) Bailey of Florida; grandchildren Whitney (Jay) Green of Cumming, GA, Nathan Sperlunto of Dawsonville, GA, Nicole Sperlunto of Dawsonville, GA, Elizabeth Tingle of Kentucky, and Peter Smeed of Athens, GA.

Memorial Service will take place on Saturday at 2pm at Dahlonega Funeral Home Chapel.

Family will receive friends from 1pm on Saturday until time of service.
