Funeral Services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Saturday June 27, 2015 at Bethlehem Baptist Church for Richard Dwayne Lewallen age 47 of Lula. The Rev. Bobby Griffin and Rev. Jerry Shockley will officiate. Interment will follow in West View Cemetery in Lula. The family will receive friends Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Lewallen passed away Wednesday June 24, 2015.
Mr. Lewallen was born July 22, 1967 in Gainesville. He graduated from East Hall High School, worked for PPG Paints in Oakwood and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys “Sally” Lewallen, sister, Teressa Lewallen, grandparents, Alvin Lewallen, Mamie Lewallen, Dennis Shockley and Dorothy Shockley.
He lived for the children that were in his life and had a great love of the outdoors and hunting.
Surivors include, wife, Donna Lewallen, son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Desiree Chambers, grandchildren, Drew Chambers, Alex Chambers, Abigail Chambers, father, Paul Richard Lewallen, sister and brother-in-law, April and Michael Kooistra, and nephew, Justin Berry.
