Edmond G. “Ed” Sahakian

Edmond G. “Ed” Sahakian, age 87 of St. Simons Island, GA and formerly of Lawrenceville, GA died Sunday, June 21, 2015 after an extended illness. Funeral service will be held Thursday, June 25, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Rev. Douglas Clark will officiate. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 24, 2015 form 6-8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request contributions be made to Grace Arbor, PO Box 2127, Lawrenceville, GA 30046. Ed is survived by his wife, Rebecca Sahakian, Cumming, GA. Daughters, Sherry Tzimourtas and husband, Miltos, Dacula, GA, Cindy Lupi and husband, Michael, St. Simons Island, GA. Grandchildren, Stamos Tzimourtas, Nikos Tzimourtas, Brandon Lupi, Mason Lupi and Joshua Lupi. Step Children, Kimball Hardin and wife Denise, Dacula, GA, Phillip Hardin and wife Adele, Brentwood, TN, Alecia Ethridge and husband George, Marietta, GA. 11 Step Grandchildren and 2 Step Great Grandchildren. Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Ed was born in Chicago, IL. He lived several years in Lawrenceville, GA and recently moved to St. Simons Island. He was retired as Director of Data Processing with Atlantic American Insurance Corporation. He was a veteran of the US Army and a member of the Lawrenceville First Baptist Church.
