Aaron Laverne “Joe” Sisk

Aaron Laverne “Joe” Sisk, age 78, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2015.

Mr. Sisk was born on April 23, 1937 in Homer, Georgia to the late Henry Lafayett and Minnie Moss Sisk. He was a veteran of The United States Army. He was formerly employed with Shamrock Knitting Mill with over 23 years of service, he also enjoyed landscaping. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by brothers, Laymon Sisk, William Sisk, Mack Sisk, Auburn Sisk, Seaborn Sisk, Ted Sisk, and Cecil Sisk; sisters, Blattice English, and Eunice Cotton.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Melody and Chip McEarchern, of Acworth; sister-in-law, Modaree Sisk, of Homer; brother Eugene Sisk, of McCloud, Ca; grandchildren, Michael, Daylan, and Haylie McEarchern; great grandchildren, Jaiden and Raegan McEarchern; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services are scheduled 2:30 p.m., Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel with Rev. Gene Todd officiating. Interment will follow in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery with full military honors by U.S. Army Honor Guard, Grant Reeves VFW post 7720, American Legion Post 84 and Rabun DAV Chapter 15.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home form 1:00 p.m. to the funeral hour on Saturday, June 27, 2015.
