Lillian R Slaton

Lillian R. Slaton, 79, of Dawsonville passed away Friday June 19, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Born June 4, 1936 in Lumpkin County to the late Ben and Carrie Hollifield, she had lived in Dawson County since 1999 having moved from Marietta. Mrs. Slaton was employed by Sears in Marietta for over 30 years after which she worked for the Cobb County Sheriff’s Department.  She was a member of Silver City Baptist Church and was very devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren.  Lillian was also preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.

Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Joe Slaton, Dawsonville; son and daughter in law, Joey and Pam Slaton, Dallas, GA; grandchildren, Brad and Melissa Slaton, Tiffany Slaton; great grandchildren, Bennett Slaton, and Carter Slaton.

Funeral services will be held Monday June 22, 2014 at 11 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Tim Biddy will officiate.  Interment will follow in Dawsonville Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 4 until 8 at the funeral home.
