WOODY REECE, SR

WOODY REECE, SR., age 80, of Dawsonville, GA, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2015 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Mr. Reece was born in Dawson Co. on October 15, 1934 to the late Joe Brown Reece and Onnie Sheriff Reece.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Clayton Reece.  Mr. Reece served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.  He was a Land Surveyor for over 30 years and was a member of McKee’s Chapel United Methodist Church.

Survivors are: his wife, Jeanette Reece of Dawsonville, GA; 2 daughters, Kim Reece and Beth Jenkins, both of Dawsonville, GA; 2 sons, Woody Reece, Jr. and Scott Reece, both of Dawsonville, GA; his sister, Dolly Hansard, Dawsonville, GA; his brother, Ford Reece, Gainesville, GA.  Survivors also included 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Mr. Reece’s wish was to be cremated and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
