Henry V. Woody

Henry V. Woody, age 75, of Clermont, GA passed away, Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA.

Henry was born in Suches, GA April 26, 1940. He had lived in Clermont since 1971 and was a former Lumpkin County resident. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was of the Holiness faith.

Henry was a welder and worked at Cantrell Machine Company for many years.

Henry was the son of the late Simmy and Neetie Sisum Woody and was also preceded in death by brothers, Billy, Derral, and Daniel Woody; and sister, Janie Dyer.

He is survived by his wife, Lenora Cantrell Woody, Clermont, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Jay Burch, Virginia; sons and daughters-in-law, Chad Woody and Katie Cox, Dawsonville, GA, and Jimmy McDonald, Clermont, GA; brother, Leora Woody, Suches, GA; grandchildren, Tiffany Nicole Edwards, Brittany Danielle Edwards, and Savannah Grace Woody; great-grandchildren, James Ivy, Nola Merritt, and Aryan Crockett.

Numerous other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Henry are scheduled for 1 PM Friday, June 19, 2015 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, GA.

Pastor Jammie Fortner will officiate.

Interment will follow in Dahlonega Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega, GA on Thursday, June 18, 2015 from 3 PM until 9 PM and again on Friday until time of service.
