Betty Jean Brooks Peek

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Betty Jean Brooks Peek, age 81, of Commerce, Georgia, who passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2015. Mrs. Peek was born in Barrow County, Georgia, a daughter to the late Loyd and Pauline Allen Brooks. Mrs. Peek was a Homemaker and a member of the Church of God of Prophesy in Braselton. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Peek was preceded in death by her brother, Royce Brooks and sister, Geneva Williams.

Survivors include her husband of 66 years,  James Junior Peek of Commerce; son, Danny Peek and his wife Sharron of Commerce; grandchildren, Pamela and Fernando Gonzalez, Stacy and Misty Peek and 5 great grandchildren also survive.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, June 19, 2015 at 11:00am in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Rev. David Smith and Rev. Joe Hardy officiating. The burial will follow in the Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery in Braselton. The visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 6-8 pm at Evans Funeral Home.
