Rev. Paul A. Wright

Rev. Paul A. Wright, age 65, of Mt. Airy, passed away Monday, June 15, 2015 at his residence.

Born on March 16, 1950, in Jackson County, he was a son of James and Sara Smith Wright of Cornelia.  Rev. Wright was an ordained minister for over 40 years having been a pastor for both Methodist and Baptist churches. He was known by his family and friends as being a servant who loved to serve in all capacities but especially to his Lord, his family, church family, and his friends.

He was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Larkin and Earline Youngblood Loudermilk; grandson, Cameron Jonah Jackson.

In addition to his parents, survivors include wife of 43 years, Wanda Loudermilk Wright of Mt. Airy; son and daughter-in-law, Matt and Amy Wright of Mt. Airy; daughters and sons-in-law, Paula and Jonathan Lewis of Cornelia and LeAnn and Ernest Jackson of Apex, North Carolina; brother and sister-in-law, Fred Wesley and Gayle Wright of Athens; grandchildren, Miles Lewis, Connor Jackson, Chase Wright, Nathan Lewis and Ella Wright; brother-in-law and companion, Ed Loudermilk and Madeleine Belmore.

Funeral services are 11 am Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Level Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Edwards and Rev. Michael Gossett officiating.  Interment will follow in Hazel Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Terry Rice and Rev. Trent Smith officiating.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 pm on Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that all donations be made in memory of Rev. Paul A. Wright, to Mature Ministries, PO Box 766, Perry, Georgia, 31069, to be used for missionary work in Nicaragua.
