Rex Keel Grant

Mr. Rex Keel Grant, age 81 of Gainesville, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness.

            Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 5:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Reverend Scott Brown will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 from 5 - 8 pm at the funeral home. 

            Mr. Grant was born November 24, 1933 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Preston Lee Grant and Lillie Blanche Harrison Grant.  He was retired from IMC USA Inc. and was a member of Riverbend Baptist Church.  Rex was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Mildred Owen, Pauline Lawrence and Audrey Merritt.  He was a loving husband, father and Paw Paw.

            Mr. Grant is survived by his wife of 33 years, Mae Ruth Tolbert Grant of Gainesville, daughters & sons-in-law, Gail & Tommy Evans of Gainesville and Becky & Jay Hollander of Gainesville, son & daughter-in-law, Ricky & Melanie Ellis of Gainesville, grandson & wife, Hutch & Brittany Evans, granddaughter & husband, Morgan & Wayne Green, grandson, Devin Hollander, granddaughter, Danielle Hollander and grandson, Drake Hollander, 5 great-grandchildren and brother, P. L. Grant of Gainesville.
