Paul William Wheeler, Sr

Paul William Wheeler, Sr., age 81, of Demorest, passed away Monday, June 15, 2015 at his residence.

Born on June 17, 1933, in Habersham County, he was a son of the late David Charles and Cora Lee Waldrep Wheeler.  He was a retired electrician with Milliken and was a U.S. Army veteran.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Edward Scott Wheeler; brother, David Charles Wheeler; brothers-in-law, Tom Catlett, Howard Whitworth, Alvin Whitmore and Levi Tomlin.

Survivors include ex-wife, Helen Wheeler Holland of Demorest; sons, Paul William Wheeler, Jr., Keith Wheeler and Shane Leslie Wheeler all of Demorest, Robert Lee Wheeler of Seneca, South Carolina; brothers, Douglas J. Wheeler, Willie D. “Bill” Wheeler and Randall D. “Randy” Wheeler all of Demorest; sisters, Linda Sanders of Mt. Airy, Blondine Whitmore Tomlin and Rosa Lee Whitworth both of Demorest, Nellaree Ellison (William H.) of Clarkesville, Dot Hill (Frank L.) of Maryland and Andrea Catlett of Demorest; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside memorial services are 10 am Thursday, June 18, 2015 at VFW Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
