Alice F. Williamson, 60, of Dahlonega passed away Friday June 12, 2015 at her residence following an extended illness.
Born May 28, 1955 in Gastonia, North Carolina to the late Randall and Leola Mull, she had lived in Lumpkin County since 2000. Alice was the former Center Coordinator for Ninth District Opportunity which allowed her to serve many residents of Dawson County and volunteered many years with the food commodity program at the Dawson County Senior Center. She possessed a great love and devotion for her family, especially her grandchildren, and enjoyed travel, the beach, riding motorcycles and her flower gardens.
Surviving are her husband of 38 years, Wayne Williamson, Dahlonega; children, Angela Williamson, Dawsonville, Paul Williamson, Dahlonega, Amanda Williamson, Cleveland; 10 grandchildren; sister, Vickie Pugh, Monroe; brothers and sisters in law, Wendell and Diane Mull, Loganville, Richard Mull and Barbara Leonard, Dawsonville; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Saturday June 20, 2015 at 12 noon at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Carolyn Payne will officiate. Interment will follow in Dawsonville Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Friday June 19, 2015 from 3 until 8 at the funeral home.
