Leeila Land Allen

Mrs. Leeila Land Allen, age 85 of 232 Oakway Drive, Eastanollee, Georgia passed away Sunday, June 7, 2015 at her residence.

A daughter of the late Clifford and Jodie Mae Marcengill Land, she was born February 28, 1930 in Oconee County, South Carolina having lived most of her life in Stephens County, Georgia.  She was retired from Stephens County School System with 22 years of service, a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church and the Lydia Sunday School Class and a member of the Supervisory Committee of Stephens Franklin Federal Credit Union.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Smith.

Survivors include her husband of the home, Memphis Lee Allen; two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Ronnie Moss of Roberta, Georgia and Merissa and Tom Donnelly of Smyrna, Georgia; son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Pat Allen of Eastanollee, Georgia; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 10, 2 O’clock PM at Liberty Hill Baptist Church with The Reverend Dr. Bob Massey, The Reverend Ken Danuser and Mr. Stan McFarlin officiating.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Jimmy Miles, Ronnie Moss, Tom Donnelly, Brandon Allen, Rufus Allen and Doug Aderholdt.  The Lydia Sunday School Class will serve as honorary escort.

The family will be at the home on Oakway Drive and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6 PM to 8 PM.

Interment will be in the Liberty Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Leeila Land Allen.
