Ruth Eva Tallant

Ruth Eva Tallant, 96, Cumming, GA, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2015.

Born on April 19, 1919, in Dawsonville, GA, she is preceded in death by her parents, Alexander and Julia Pilgrim, loving husband George Leland Tallant, son, Donald Smith Tallant, and brother, James Pilgrim.

Mrs. Ruth Tallant was the oldest living member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Mrs. Tallant is survived by her son Jimmy and Connie Tallant of Cumming, GA,
son Wade and Pam Tallant of Cumming, GA, daughter Beth and Donny Castleberry of Cumming, GA , grandchildren Jennifer and Derek Eberhart, Rev. Greg and Emily Tallant, April Tallant and Harouna Koudougo, Meredith and Ricky Bryan, John and Emily Castleberry, great grandchildren Alex Eberhart, Andrew and James Tallant, Leah and Claire Bryan, William Castleberry, Sabane Koudougo. She is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.

The family would also like to thank Mrs. Tallant's caretakers, Sue Hamby, Becky Cherry, Sue Cochran, Inez Mathis, Betty Gee and also the staff of The Oaks of Hampton, Northeast Georgia Hospice, and Dawn Sosbee.

The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Friday, June 5, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. til 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. til 9:00 p.m. The funeral services for Mrs. Tallant will be held Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Cumming, GA Rev. Ruel Martin and Rev. Robert Martin will be officiating. Interment to follow in Coal Mtn. Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to The Senior Women's Sunday School Class at Oak Grove Baptist Church.
