Mary Neese Rice

Mary Neese Rice,age  68, of Gainesville passed away Monday,  June 1, 2015.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Dorsey Rice, Jr; parents,  John and Lora Neese; sister, Susan Adamski;  and grandson, Bradford Davis.

She is survived by her children, Julie Rice Gonzalez (Manuel) and Amanda James (Matthew), both of Gainesville, David Rice (Nahoko) of Japan, and Caroline Davis (Travis) of Asheville, NC; grandchildren, Suzannah Gonzalez, Christopher Rice, and William Rice; sister, Janie Bryant of Anderson, SC;  and brother, Bill Neese of Hartwell. Several nieces, nephews, and friends also survive.

Mary’s greatest joy in life was caring for her family and home. She was a hard-working woman, devoted wife, selfless mother, and a loving grandmother.

The family will receive friends at Hillside Chapel Funeral Home in Gainesville, GA from 6 PM until 8 PM on Wednesday, June 3, 2015.
