Wendell P. Blount

Wendell P. Blount, age 80, of Buford, GA and the Ivy Creek Community passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2015. He was preceded in death by his wife of forty-nine years and the love of his life, Gay Clark Blount; son-in-law, Kim Holman; and parents, Clarence P. and Rosalee Brown Blount. He is survived by his daughter, Debbie Blount Holman, Buford, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Donna Blount Allen and husband, Drew, Columbia, TN; grandchildren, Blake and Adrian Holman, Hoschton, GA, Brian Holman, Buford, GA, Kami Holman, Buford, GA, Stephanie and T. J. Golden, Spring Hill, TN and Heather Allen, Columbia, TN; great grandchildren, Ana Holman, Eve Holman, Ceci Steele, Halle Golden, Aniston Golden and Brantley Golden; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Paula Clark Heard and husband, Roy, Cumming, GA; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, David and Sheila Clark, Cumming, GA and Gary and Jan Clark, Cumming, GA; several cousins; and nieces and nephews of the Clark family. Mr. Blount was born March 7, 1935 in Buford, GA. He was a 1951 graduate of Dacula High School. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force. He was co-owner of Arrington and Blount Ford Dealership in Lawrenceville, GA for thirty-seven years. He was a member of Ivy Creek Baptist Church in Buford, GA. He enjoyed NASCAR, bluegrass music and working at the Ford Dealership. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 12:00 noon at Ivy Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Ted Williams and Dr. Craig Dale officiating. Interment will follow at Ivy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Buford, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, June 5, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Ivy Creek Baptist Church Piano Fund in memory of Wendell P.
