Mildred Carroll

Mrs. Carroll was born on July 28, 1925 to the late Hope and Jessie Woods; she entered into rest on May 30, 2015.  She worked for the Atlanta Board of Education for over 30 years and was a member of Gainesville 1st UMC.  Mrs. Carroll was an avid traveler who loved life and her family very much.  She always had a warm and bright smile on her face and met life's challenges in a full, cheerful and loving embrace.  She lived by the motto: "Let Go and Let God."  She was preceded in death by her husband, D.G. Carroll; daughter, Beverly C. Long and four siblings.  Survivors include son, David Carroll; brother, Jerry Woods; grandchildren, Donna Garner, Kim Baldwin, Pam Long and Kristin Richardson; and 7 great grandchildren.  Services will be held Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at 3:00 P.M. at Gainesville 1st UMC.  In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to be made to Gainesville 1st UMC in honor of Mildred Carroll.  Tim Stewart Funeral Home, Lawrenceville Chapel is assisting the family with local arrangements www.stewartfh.com (770)962-3100.
