Mrs. Margie Peck, 86 of Gainesville died Tuesday May 26, 2015 at her residence following an extended illness.
Born in Anniston, Alabama, Mrs. Peck had lived in Hall County for most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Herman and Effie Clark. Mrs. Peck had worked for Dundee Mills and was a member of the Rock Hill Congregational Holiness Church.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Young Peck; son Ricky Peck, both of Gainesville; siblings, Robert "Bob" Clark; Willie Sue Pendley; Charlie Clark; Wayne Clark, all of Gainesville; Larry "Pud" Clark and Tommy Clark, both of Murrayville. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Mrs. Peck is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, H.A. Clark and Jack Clark; sisters, Thelma Delong and Kate Clark.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday May 28, 2015 at Rock Hill Congregational Holiness Church. Rev. Michael Clark, Rev. Phillip Wehunt and Rev. Paul Milligan will officiate. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Mrs. Peck will lie in state at the church Thursday from 1:30 p.m. until the funeral hour.
The family will receive friends at Little & Davenport Funeral Home from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday May 27, 2015.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Northeast Georgia, 2150 Limestone Parkway, Suite 222, Gainesville, Ga. 30501 in memory of Mrs. Peck.
