Jesse Sim Davis

Mr. Jesse Sim Davis, age 75 of 920 Charles Hall Drive, Dacula, Georgia passed away Friday, May 22, 2015 at Gwinnett Medical Center.

A son of the late Anderson H. and Mozelle Smith Davis, he was born August 9, 1939 in Stephens County, having lived most of his life in Gwinnett County.  He was retired from Rich’s Department Store with 30 years of service and was of the Baptist faith.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Pat Griffin Davis.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Mary Davis of Atlanta, Georgia; step-son, Brian Griffin of Lawrenceville, Georgia; two grandchildren, Brooke and Alexis and one great-grandchild, Lilly; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Donnie and Cheryl Davis of Lilburn, Georgia and Mark and Debbie Davis of Loganville, Georgia; three sisters and brother-in-law, Pauline and Don Martin  and Mary Davis both of Toccoa and Carol Davis of Marietta, Georgia; sister-in-law, Elver Davis of Gainesville, Georgia; brother-in-law, John Vinson of Gainesville, Georgia.

Funeral services will be Sunday, May 31, 2 O’clock PM in the Hillcrest chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Paul Garrison officiating.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Randy Martin, Roger Martin, Brett Davis, Matt Davis, Josh Davis, Jeremy Means and Eric Vinson.

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Sunday, May 31 from noon until the service time.

Interment will follow in the Zebulon Baptist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Jesse Sim Davis.
