Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mrs. Carolyn Jean 'Jeannie"Chiara.
Born March 30th, 1951 in New York, she was a military daughter, and spend the majority of her childhood in Germany and North Carolina. She married John Chiara on August 24th, 1975, and had 2 sons, John Joseph, and James. She was committed to her christian values, and served as a pastor alongside her husband, John for 30 years in California, North Carolina, and Georgia. Her love for education was evident in her life, as she earned a doctorate in theology from Christian Life School of Theology, worked at alpha beacon christian school as an administrator, and at highlands christian school as principal. She was also a counselor, and has touched many lives through her truly amazing mentoring abilities. She was loved by so many people and will be truly missed.
She is survived by her husband John, her two sons, John Joseph, and James, and her mother, Sadie Loftis, and preceded by her father, Harold Pittman.
A celebration of life service is scheduled for 4:00 pm, Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at the Bridge Church in Cleveland. The family requests that the attire for the service be casual and invite all who attend to join them in the fellowship hall for dinner following the service.
